FAQ

Common Questions

Everything you need to know before you arrive — or call us anytime.

Do I need an appointment?

Never. AVES is a walk-in emergency facility. Come in any time, day or night. If possible, call ahead so we can prepare for your arrival — but it’s never required.

Are you really open on holidays?

Yes — every single holiday, including Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Year’s, and the 4th of July. Pets don’t know it’s a holiday, and neither do we when it comes to their care.

How much does emergency vet care cost?

Costs vary significantly depending on what your pet needs. We’ll always discuss treatment options and associated costs with you before proceeding. Cherry and Care Credit financing is available for larger bills.

Will you contact my regular vet?

Yes — we let your family veterinarian know your pet visited us, and they can access your pet’s full treatment records anytime through our portal, so they’re fully informed for follow-up care.

What animals do you treat?

We primarily treat dogs and cats. Call us first if you have another type of pet and we can advise on the best next step.
