If your pet is experiencing an emergency, please call us at (313) 389-1700 or come directly to our hospital.

The Affiliated Veterinary Emergency Service (AVES) is a full-service veterinary emergency center equipped to care for any pet emergency or critical care situation. At any time of day or night, our expert veterinarians are available to provide the best emergency medical care to your pet, and to coordinate the medical care provided at the emergency clinic with your veterinary hospital. No appointment is necessary.

Please call ahead if you can. This allows us the ability to prepare for your arrival so we can give prompt attention to you and your pet. Any pet clearly exhibiting an unstable medical condition will be immediately placed in an exam room to be seen by a veterinarian.

AVES is centrally located for easy accessibility from the Downriver and Monroe areas (see map).

All follow up visits necessary for your pet will be done by your veterinarian at his/her hospital. When your pet leaves our clinic, your veterinarian receives complete information on all treatments given at AVES. For your pet’s benefit, please follow up with your veterinarian as suggested.
