Digital Radiology
When your pet is injured, obtaining rapid x-ray results may be critical. Our hospital is equipped with on-site digital radiology equipment. This latest technology allows us to examine your dog or cat’s skeletal, organ, cardiopulmonary, gastrointestinal, reproductive, and urinary systems. This is a non-invasive procedure that does not require your pet to be under anesthesia and allows the veterinarian to get a better look at the conditions that may be affecting your pet.
The image quality of a digital x-ray is much higher than a film x-ray and can be visualized by us within a few seconds following exposure. Because we are able to view the x-ray almost immediately we can diagnose and treat your pet rapidly.
When Digital Radiology is used:
When your pet has x-rays taken at our facility, we will provide a digital copy of the x-rays for your primary veterinarian to review.
